Who Am I?
Many people believe you evolved from animals, a mere result of chance. If that is the case, how do you find significance? How do you believe that your life matters and has value if you’re simply a result of circumstance? In contrast, the Bible says that God formed “my inward parts; He knitted me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.” Isn’t it amazing that your life is meaningful and that you are important to God? You were delicately formed — knit together by the hand of God and He actively desires to be a part of your life!
Am I here by chance?
Absolutely not! The Bible tells us that God created all things — “in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible . . . all things were created through Him and for Him.” No, the world around us is not some “big bang” of universal forces coming together at just the right time to form something out of nothing. All you see around you is the result of God’s loving hand — He created a world full of color and beauty and you are a part of it. Psalm 139 says “wonderful are Your works; my soul knows it very well. My frame was not hidden from You, when I was being made in secret, intricately woven in the depths of the earth.”
Does God really know me?
By all means! And not only does He know you, but He cares about what you do. Psalm 139 says: “Where shall I go from your Spirit? Or where shall I flee from your presence? If I ascend to heaven, you are there! If I descend to the depths, you are there! If I dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea, even there your hand will lead me.” In other words, no matter where you go, God is always with you. As a human being, you are foremost of all His creation. You are made in His image with a heart, mind and soul — unlike the other living things he created.
Is God real?
The Bible tells us that, “In the beginning, God created heaven and earth.” Once you reject that basic premise — that God is the beginning of all things — you are lost. According to the Bible, God “gives to all mankind life and breath. And he made from one man every nation of mankind to live on all the face of the earth . . . that they might seek him and find Him . . . In Him we live and move and have our being.” So, to the question, “Is God real?” the answer is “Yes!” and He desires to know you intimately, passionately and lovingly!
