ACTS Classes for New Believers

Bible Storying Basics – Dale Smith – E2-215

8 wks, 1 ½ hrs
How can Christians today spread God’s Word rapidly despite cultural resistance? Bible storying can be used inside the church, across the street, and around the world for evangelism, discipleship and leadership training. It involves a natural, contextual telling style and discussion of Bible stories. Anyone can learn and share God’s Word in this experience-based training, using stories in relational evangelism and weekly discipleship groups to put training into practice. Click here to register.

Mark’s Gospel – Bob Taylor – FH-346

8 wks, 1 hr
Mark is believed to have been the first written of the four gospels. It focuses primarily on the suffering Son of God. Mark is quick to point out Who Jesus is and why He came. Everything in Mark builds to show that Jesus came to give His life as a ransom for many. This was a difficult concept to grasp 2000 years ago and even for believers today. Click here to register.

MasterLife 1 for Men – Lee Barnes – E2-224

7 wks, 2 hrs
The Disciple's Cross helps you experience life in Christ through practicing these six biblical disciplines: spending time with the Master, living in the Word, praying in faith, fellowshipping with believers, witnessing to the world, and ministering to others. A great course for both new and seasoned believers alike. Workbook available in bookstore. Click here to register.

Not a Fan – Roger Menefee – E2-212

6 wks, 1 hr
The dictionary defines a fan as “an enthusiastic admirer.” Fans want to be close enough to Jesus to get all the benefits, but not so close that it requires sacrifice. Fans may be fine with repeating a prayer, attending church on the weekend, and slapping a Jesus fish on their bumpers. But is that really the extent of the relationship Jesus wants? How would things change if you lived the way Jesus lived, and loved the way Jesus loved? Book in bookstore. Click here to register.

The Jesus You Can’t Ignore (MacArthur) – Lawrence Rutledge – E2-214

6 wks, 1 hr
“What you think of Jesus Christ will thoroughly color how you think about everything else," writes John MacArthur. This is a critical truth in the life of every believer. Our view of Jesus affects the way we view God, the world, ourselves, and every one of our decisions. These days, Jesus is often portrayed as a pacifist, a philanthropist, or a docile teacher. He strikes a plastic-and sometimes pathetic-pose in the minds of many. Some prefer the meek and mild Jesus who heals the sick, calms fears, and speaks of peace and goodwill. These things do represent a portion of the Messiah. But tragically, too many have never been exposed to the rest of him. They have never seen a full 360-degree view of the Savior. Until now. Click here to register.
