LG Connect Gets You Hooked Up With a Life Group
People at First Orlando want to be a part of the life of the church. The problem is, doing so can sometimes be difficult. This is why a new ministry call LG Connect was created.
“We discovered that on our campus on any given Sunday we have about 1,500 to 2,000 people who are not in Life Groups,” Education Pastor Jack Fiscus said. “When we started asking these people about it, they told us that they visited Life Groups but, for one reason or another, it just didn’t work out.”
That’s the motivation behind LG (Life Group) Connect, a ministry that finds a Life Group for those seeking one. If you are one of those searchers, here is how LG Connect works: Come to Faith Hall Lakeside at either 9:30 or 10:45 a.m. You will be one of a number of people from a wide range of groups: married with kids; married without kids; singles with kids; singles without kids; single and divorced; single and never married, etc. Then, you will be placed at a table with others in your situation. Or, you may choose to sit at a table with people in your age range regardless of marital or parental circumstances.
LG Connect sessions run from four to six weeks and ends with each member finding a Life Group he or she can become a part of.
“But what actually happens most of time,” Jack said, “is that people from the same LG Connect will often form their own groups. What a great way to find a Life Group!”
So, what about you? If you have been searching for a Life Group without success and believe that LG Connect is the answer, then join us for our next session!
