When can I set up for the sale?
The merchandise lots, located around the Amp’d Student Center, will be open on Friday, Oct. 29 at noon and will remain open through the entire night until 7:30 the following morning (30 minutes before the start of the sale). During that time you may drive in and unload your items. There will be a Security officer on duty throughout the night, so your items will be secure. At 8 a.m., the sale will begin and these lots will be closed off to all vehicles. There will be no vehicles allowed in booth areas after 7:30am. We will have volunteers available with a truck, van or golf cart to enter the booth area to assist people picking up large items.
What items may I sell?
Only Christian-appropriate materials. No weapons.
Do I need to bring tables on which to sell my items?
Yes. Please bring your own table and anything else you need to set up your booth.
What else do I need to bring?
Bring money to supply as change for items sold.
What do I do with the money I receive?
We will give you a special 6x9 envelope designed specifically for the Acts of Love Sale. On Saturday evening (Oct. 30) or the following Sunday (Oct. 31), depending on which worship service you attend, you will have the opportunity to place your envelope on the platform of the Worship Center.
Where does the money from sold items go?
100 percent of proceeds goes to our Benevolence Ministry to help those who have needs in our church family.
What do I do with checks?
Make sure all checks are made payable to you. Then, endorse the check on the back to First Baptist Church of Orlando. This way, you will be able to get a tax credit.
What if I can’t make it but still want to participate?
We encourage you to have a garage sale at your home or an online sale, then donate the proceeds to the Acts of Love Sale. Extra envelopes will be available in the Welcome Centers and Events Center.
