Upcoming Childrens Events
Promotional Sunday

Promotion Summary:
1. Read the attached information carefully so you are familiar with your child’s new drop off and pick up location.
2. Arrive a few minutes early on Sunday morning to avoid the rush.
3. Swipe your child’s security card and look for her room assignment to be printed at the top of their tag.
4. Report to class.
5. 4th and 5th graders have the option of early release. Turn in both parts of the early release form to your child’ teacher.
6. Turn in you volunteer form to your child’s teacher.

Special Notes:
• RISING KINDERGARTENERS: Welcome to Children’s Ministry! We do not offer Life Group Classes for Kindergarteners at both the 9 and 10:45 hours. Instead, your Life Group time is 9 and you have a special worship rally geared just for you at 10:45.
• RISING 3RD GRADERS: Your Worship Rally hour is now 9 and your Life Group hour is now 10:45.

KIDS BEACH CLUBS

Kids Beach Club is a new and exciting ministry dedicated to connecting kids to Christ. This is done through the establishment of after-school, faith-based clubs called Beach Clubs. Beach Clubs are organized and designed to target our next generation of leaders...children 3rd through 6th grade. Kids Beach Club seek to: impact communities for the Kingdom, share Christ in public schools, foster life change in the hearts of children, and connect families to a church family. First Orlando Kids

Children are important at First Baptist Orlando!

Our mission statement  is: "The Children's Ministry at First Orlando exists to honor God by partnering with parents to transfom kids into spiritual champions."
 

All of our children's programs are Bible-focused, kid-friendly, safe, fun and relevant.

Sunday Mornings Life Groups and Adventure Quest Worship Rally

  • Same program offered at three different hours : 7:45 , 9 and 10:45pm
  • Children are placed in small groups of 7-10 kids, based on their grade
  • Small groups are led by Small Group Shepherds with the purpose of building intentional relationships and life application from large group
  • Large group time kids’ praise God through music and learn values and virtures from God’s word in creative ways

Wednesday Nights Worship Quest and TruthQuest
  Children's Music & Worship/ Children's Ministry — 6-8pm

  • Worship Quest: In the first hour, we’ve paired music and missions as we travel the globe, learning how missionaries share Jesus with the world and how you can too!
  • TruthQuest: K-2nd graders are escorted to the Harbor at 7pm for the large group session.
  • 3rd-5th graders can participate in either Bible Drill or Children's Precepts.
  • 4th & 5th graders are dismissed from the Harbor at 8pm, unless their parents have requested to come pick them up at 8pm

Saturday Night Adventure Quest Rally and LifeGroups
5:30-7:45pm Where church is fun & the Bible comes alive.

  • Please check your kids in when you arrive on campus in the Discipleship ( E-1) 1st floor lobby next to Welcome Center A.
  • If your child is coming for LifeGroup and Adventure Quest we will walk the kids over to the Rally after their LifeGroup. LifeGroups begin at 5:30pm and the kids can check in as early at 5:15pm and come to E1 room 322. 
  • If your child is coming to Adventure Quest only they should come directly to the Harbor E1-323. The Rally begins at 6:30 and the kids can check in as early as 6:15pm
  • Adventure Quest runs until 7:45pm. As a courtesy to our volunteers and their families, please make sure to pick up your children NO LATER than 8pm

Through a wide range of programs and activities, we strive to create an environment where your child will have a great time learning the truths of the Bible.

David Holmes: Children's Pastor

What does your job involve?
My team and I partner with parents and volunteers to transform children into spiritual champions.  We do that by coordinating children’s Life Groups, camps, Vacation Bible School, parenting classes and other strategic events.
 
Where were you born and raised?
I was born in Lubbock, Texas, and raised in Midland, Texas. My dad was in the oil industry, so we moved around a lot, but Midland was home base.
