Humble Hands Quilting
The Humble Hands Quilting Ministry includes those that know what a Log Cabin, Pieced Star, Double Diamond, and Flying Geese are, and, those who enjoy hand-stitching or knitting items as well. As a team, our weekly meeting is an opportunity to labor together for those in need. Many overseas missionaries have been blessed with clothing and quilts designed and perfected by our ‘humble hands’ with fabric provided from their country of service. The quilts are then presented officially in the Worship Services prior to their send-off. We would be delighted if you would join us for afternoon tea while we labor in love. Humbles Hands meets regularly on Tuesdays from 1 – 4 p.m.
Here are some comments from some of our quilters as to why they are involved in this ministry:
"I'm getting a chance to use the talents the Lord gave me." - Vi
"I enjoy the fellowship." - Dawn
"I enjoy helping others." - Sandy
"It's a time of spiritual fellowship with others." - Beth
"I enjoy teaching my skills to others" - Sandy
"To know that everytime a missionary looks at one of our quilts they know someone is praying for them."
