Throughout the years, many individuals have been forced to stay in waiting rooms and hospital lounges when a family member required and extended hospital stay. Now, thanks to many generous individuals and organizations, the spacious Victorian-style Hubbard House, a "home-away-from-home", is available on Orlando Regional's main campus. The home offers families a safe haven when facing the extra burden of finding convenient and affordable temporary lodging in times of crisis. At Hubbard House we believe that true healing encompasses the love and support of the entire family. Amenities include complimentary breakfast and dinner, a communal kitchen with dishes and cookware, age-specific playrooms, communal TV rooms and dining room, laudry facilities, exercise room, library, within walking distance of most of our facilities, 24-hour security, and a manager who resides in the house.
Volunteers are the heartbeat of the Hubbard House. They provide a support system by being there with a smiling face, a hug, a prayer and whatever is needed to make their stay more comfortable. They also provide the services of cleaning, registration, tours, cooking, restocking rooms and any other services required to keep this ministry available for these families in crisis. The house is run entirely on donations.
