Seeking individuals that have education/training and/or experience in Early Childhood Education. Must be flexible, able to implement lesson concepts ideas using a variety of teaching methods, and maintain supervision of children at all times. Must have Sunday morning availability. Additional shift commitments based on needs to include: Sunday evening, Monday mornings, Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday evenings. Must be able to physically lift small children, change diapers, and possess the ability to lead a class.

Summary:

Responsible for cooking a variety of food for all events in Food Services including A la Carte, Wednesday night dinners, Café on the Rock & banquets in a safe and excellent manner according to the standards set by Food Service management.  Cooks, prepares, seasons and cooks a wide range of foods.  This may include soups, salads, entrees and desserts.  While performing this work, the individual will use various pots, pans, cutlery and other equipment which includes ovens, grills, slicers and grinders. They may be required to work early mornings, late evenings, holidays and weekends.     

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Check with the supervisor at the start of every shift for special instructions.
  • Be able to read and understand all BEO’s and prep lists.
  • Turn on necessary equipment and make sure everything is functioning correctly.
  • Begin prep and cooking in a clean and organized manner.
  • Use recipe cards when provided.
  • Maintain a clean and organized prep and serving area.
  • Maintain a clean and organized storage area.
  • Conduct a monthly inventory of all food in the kitchen.
  • Keep track of all food used according to method explained by supervisor.  
  • Responsible for wearing the proper uniform and shoes. Kitchen area can be slippery at times.
  • Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, & regulations.
  • Responsible for any other duties requested by Food Service Manager/Director.

Physical /Work Environment

This job requires the individual to be able to stand for long periods and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.  Must be able to lift heavy kettles and pots and safety handle chopping knives and grinders.  The working environment can be hot and requires working with hot ovens and grills.

  • Recommended High School Diploma with 2 years of working experience.

Position Title – Maintenance Mechanic/Engineer

Summary:
Responsible for performing routine building maintenance tasks.  Performance of building maintenance tasks in one or more fields (e.g. carpentry; electrical; heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC); plumbing, etc.). Under limited supervision, performs a variety of semi-skilled work at First Baptist Orlando properties and performs other duties as assigned. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoots minor maintenance problems, involving electrical, structural, plumbing, and equipment repair or replacement.
  • Perform preventive building maintenance duties, caulks windows & doors, repairs and replace broken windows. 
  • Performs routine electrical repairs such as changing light bulbs or fluorescent lamps and assists in repairing ballast and light fixtures. 
  • Performs routine plumbing repairs such as unstopping toilets, sinks or urinals, fixing water leaks, leaking faucets, and water fountains. 
  • Purchases supplies, equipment, and materials necessary to complete projects. 
  • Assembles and moves furniture, hangs pictures and bulletin boards, install petitions for offices, hang drywall, repairs, mud and tape.
  • Repairs and replaces door knobs or locks, repairs door closures, patches holes in walls. 
  • Paints interior and exterior walls.  Performs pressure washing as needed. 
  • Performs a wide variety of general and semiskilled maintenance activities (e.g. carpentry, painting, electrical, plumbing, etc.) for the purpose of completing projects within established time frames.
  • Perform other work related duties as assigned.

Physical Work Environment:

Work involves moderate to heavy work in all types of weather.  There is frequent need to bend at the waist, sitting, kneeling, laying horizontally, climbing, walking, stand, stoop, climb ladders & step ladders, lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and perform other similar actions during the course of the work day. Noise level which may, at times, require normal hearing protection in the form of ear plugs.  

 

Education/Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED and 2 years of building maintenance experience or any equivalent combination of training and experience.  A valid Florida driver’s license is required.
  • An understanding of electrical, plumbing and carpentry is a must.
