The Good Friday Project

March 30, 2018 10:45am Orlando Union Rescue Mission

The Orlando Union Rescue Mission is one of Central Florida’s largest homeless service providers. For the last 70 years, the OURM has met the immediate physical needs of our city’s homeless population, while leading them toward permanent independence built upon a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

Join First Baptist Orlando and The First Academy as we partner on The Good Friday Project, an opportunity to serve at the Orlando Union Rescue Mission’s annual Good Friday Banquet. This year’s banquet will feature a Chapel worship experience, a delicious meal, and a footwashing experience for more than 500 guests. Every guest will also receive a new pair of socks and shoes!

Shoe Drive

You can donate a new pair of shoes for banquet guests (men’s, women’s, and children’s sizes are needed). To participate in the Shoe Drive, you can click the link below (shoes purchased online will be mailed directly to the rescue mission), or you can drop off a new pair of shoes on Sunday, March 11th or 18th. Drop off bins will be located at all Welcome Centers and in the Gathering Place center lobby.
