Surge 2024
February 9–11
Surge is a life-changing conference for students from 6th-12th grade! We combine high-energy large-group worship and teaching sessions with small-group discussion and fun activities for our students and leaders to enjoy and grow in community. Surge is the perfect opportunity for teenagers to be inspired, encouraged, and equipped to follow Jesus and lead others to do the same in their neighborhoods, schools, and teams!
Price Information
First 100 Special Registration Cost: $45/student – CLOSED
Normal Registration Cost: $65/student – CLOSED
Late Registration Cost: $90/student – From January 29 at 12:00am – February 4 at 11:59pm
Drop-off/Pickup Times
Since Surge 2024 will not be overnight, students will need to be dropped off and picked up each day. Please see the drop-off and pick-up times below:
Friday, Feb 9: 6:00pm-10:30pm
Saturday, Feb 10: 8:30am-11:45pm
Sunday, Feb 11: 8:45am-12:30pm
Medical Consent and Release Form
To ensure the safety and wellbeing of each and every student in our care, we will need a completed 2024 Medical Consent and Release Form on file. This form asks for all the medical information we would need for your student in order to respond properly in case of a medical emergency. This form is required for all students who will participate in Surge, so we ask that you fill it out as soon as possible. The 2024 form covers any events during the 2024 calendar year. If you have previously completed a 2023 form, you will need to update your information for the upcoming calendar year.

*If, at any point, the medical information for a student changes, please submit a new copy of the 2024 Medical Consent and Release Form. We will be unable to update your old copy.
Lift Tour Safety Waiver
Each year, we partner with LIFT Tour who is responsible for bringing in all of our awesome guest speakers and artists. They require that each participant complete a safety waiver as well. Please complete their safety waiver by completing the form in the link below.

MAIN SESSIONS
At Surge, students will have the opportunity to participate in powerful worship sessions with hundreds of other students at First Orlando’s John Young Campus. During each session, students will experience high-energy, spirit-led worship led by Jimmy McNeal, Christ-centered messages from special guest speakers Brent Crowe and Derwin L. Gray, and fun artistic elements led by DJ El Vow! All of these elements put together make for a powerful and fun experience built specifically for the teenager of 2024!
Small Group Time
Groups at Surge are age and gender-specific, and designed to connect and engage students in life-giving friendships. These groups will be led by our adult leaders, who facilitate Christ-centered small group conversations and help bring the large, corporate worship sessions to a personal level.
SERVE AT SURGE 2024
We would love to have you serve with us at Surge this year! Sign up today to serve with us at the link below at one of the following roles:
SMALL GROUP LEADER:
- Lead a group of students by attending sessions together, small group time, and free-time activities. You will spend time with a group of about 10-15 students and a co-leader at our John Young campus.
- Help facilitate small group conversations and provide the opportunity for the main sessions to become small and more personal for your group.
- Be available to offer counsel to students as needed.
- Be a spiritual leader and set the example by following and enforcing the rules, keeping a positive attitude, and encouraging participation.
- Make sure that no one in the group is left behind and that every student feels included.
- Attend our Small Group Leader Training. Date will be sent via email when you sign up.
GUEST CONNECTIONS

Assist the Guest Connections coach and the MVMT Student Ministry Staff as needed in areas such as check-in, greeting, crowd control, merchandise table, and set up of mealtimes and activities as needed on the event day.

Every year we have many students who request financial assistance in order to attend. When you give, you help us remove the financial barrier to students hearing the Gospel and seeing their lives changed forever!

WHAT TO BRING:
- Backpack to carry your items for the day.
- Modest attire (no low-cut/strapless shirts or short shorts).
- HARD COPY Bible, journal, and pen.
- Money (Optional)
- Non-perishable snacks.
- Water bottle to keep with you during the day.
WHAT NOT TO BRING:
- Fireworks or prank items, such as shaving cream, water balloons, water guns, etc.
- Weapons (i.e. pocket knives).
- Skateboards and hoverboards.
- Illegal drugs, alcohol, tobacco, or vapes.
- Valuable items (i.e. laptops, iPads, Jewelry, Air Pods/Headphones, etc.)
The Student Ministry is NOT responsible for lost or stolen items. Please have a conversation with your teenager about the importance of not leaving their belongings unattended or under the supervision of others at time. Examples:
- Always bring your belongings with you if you need to go to the bathroom.
- Do not leave your belongings unattended or under the supervision of other students.
- Do not leave your cellphone charging on an outlet and walk away from it.
