How to Get Started

We believe we are all entrusted and equipped to tell God’s Stories of Hope, and one of the ways you can do that is by hosting a short-term gathering with family or friends this fall. We will supply everything you need to facilitate a good experience for those you gather. Don’t worry… you aren’t going to be asked to teach anything, just guide a discussion with those you know! Below are a few simple steps to get you started.

What You Need To Do Next

Step 1: Pray & Invite

  • Prayerfully begin to make a list of the people (friends, neighbors, co-workers, family) that you can gather during the month of September to study “Stories of Hope.”
  • Your gathering could include:
    • Your family OR
    • 1-2 friends OR
    • 6-8 co-workers, friends, and family
  • Once you’ve determined who’s going to join you, invite them!
    • Find out which day and time would be best for the majority to meet.
    • Determine where you’ll meet (in person or online).

Step 2: Register

Step 3: Download Discussion Guide

Step 4: Watch Our Facilitators Videos

  • We have online training videos where you can hear from some of our pastors with tips and coaching on how best to introduce and lead your time with your friends. Click here to watch videos.

Step 5: Begin Your Gathering!

  • Start your gathering on September 20 or anytime afterwards.

There is no required number of participants. Your gathering could include you and a friend, or you and 10 friends!
Registering your gathering helps our team best serve you! We want to be able to help your group specifically and pray for your members by name
That’s okay! The goal of these gatherings is spiritual conversation. Whether you are able to commit to every week or only a handful, we encourage you to participate.
This will be different for everyone! It could be a co-worker, family member, or friends – who has God placed in your circle of influence?
Absolutely! There is no experience required. You don’t need to be a public speaker or a Bible scholar. All you need to do is help guide the conversation.
We will be using a weekly Discussion Guide with 8 questions.
