Latest Update

May 2020

As we’ve evaluated the latest guidance available, our Together Again Taskforce has considered thoughtful adjustments to our precautions, including:

  • Face masks will be optional for our staff and volunteers. Mask wearing will not be discouraged and all will work to continue to maintain physical distancing when possible.
  • Temperature checks for kids and students will be optional. Knowing that safety and staying healthy are priorities for new and retuning families with children and students, we will continue to share and reinforce our existing Kids & Students Wellness Policy (below) for those checking into our environments.

We will also continue many precautions that have been in place, including:

  • Providing areas in our worship center that allow for increased physical distancing to offer choices for individuals to feel most comfortable.
  • Hand sanitizer stations remaining throughout our environments and venues
  • Limiting high touch activities (offering drop boxes and Lord’s Supper individual elements)

Other Updated Items:

Food and Drink

We plan to keep all current protocols with single-use and individually wrapped items. No self-serve buffets or shared serving utensils. We do not plan to offer campus-wide coffee weekly.

Life Groups

Groups have self-selected to return on campus when ready and are functioning smoothly.

Choir

Anyone who desires to participate in choir has been able to. No current limit on number of participants. Current spacing of members is 4-5 feet. We remain committed to a choir experience at the 8:30 service. Choir location and wardrobe are always flexible.

Orchestra

Anyone who desires to participate in orchestra has been able to. Teams are being used in creative ways. Orchestra location is flexible.

Print Materials

We will continue to limit printed materials and will drive individuals to our website and app. We do not plan to regularly produce a weekly bulletin.

Seatback Materials

We will restock seat backs with bibles, and with pens/note cards when needed.

Welcome Home!

We’re so grateful to be able to meet both on-campus and online! You can join us at our John Young Campus at 8:30 am, 10:00 am and 11:30 am. We’ve redesigned our weekend experience to maintain a sanitary, touchless environment, and masks and hand sanitizer are available by request.

We want you to know our teams have thought through every detail to ensure a safe and clean environment for every member of your family. In First Orlando Kids, we’ve implemented a weekly reservation system to allow us to effectively prepare rooms, volunteers, and safety protocols. For our MVMT Students, all seating and common areas will be set up to allow for social distancing. Click below to find out more about Kids and Students gatherings on campus.

How You Can Help:
