Weekend Preschool Lifegroups
Our Kids Ministry offers care and Bible teaching for all preschoolers (birth through 4 years of age) during all our weekend services. Our First Look curriculum is constructed to meet the preschoolers where they are cognitively, spiritually, emotionally and socially. Through Bible stories, songs, crafts and games your children will build a strong spiritual foundation so that by the time they move into our Elementary program they will know our three basic truths, "God Made Me, God Loves Me, and Jesus Wants to Be My Friend Forever".
Wednesday Nights 6-8PM
Our Wednesday Night Preschool Programing, Bible, Friends Fellowship, provides a time of Bible discovery for children birth-4 years of age while their parents attend an ACTS class. Our littlest learners enjoy an age appropriate Bible story, songs and playtime which introduce them to the concepts of God, Jesus, the Bible, creation and the family.
Our four year olds will participate in Worship Quest from 6-7p, a dynamic music experience that teaches them about offering praise and worshiping God. From 7-8p, they transition to a time of Bible discovery. Through foundational Bible stories all preschoolers will learn to hear God's Word, Know God's Word and do God's Word.
Baby Dedication services are held several times a year. This is a time for your family and friends to join the church in praying for your child to come to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior and become the person God created them to be.
Baby Dedication Registration
The Preschool Kids Ministry team is here to support and encourage families in leading their children to a personal faith in Jesus Christ and to develop them into devoted followers. Our curriculum focuses on three foundational truths from God's Word, "God Made Me, God Loves Me, and Jesus Wants to Be My Friend Forever".
Preschool Parent Information
Our Preschool staff and teachers are here to provide a safe, warm, loving and Christ-centered learning environment for your preschoolers. It is our desire that you will take advantage of the many opportunities we have to offer your child here at First Orlando. In an effort to make our ministry efficient and to provide the best of care for your preschooler, we use teaching objectives and child-centered teaching methods to present Biblical truths to the preschoolers. We count it a joy to invest our love and time in the lives of your little ones. Parent understanding, communication and participation are an important part of our program. We ask our Kids Ministry parents to serve once a month. Working together, we can provide an excellent preschool program where your child will grow to know and love Jesus. Please call on us if we can be of help on a personal basis.
The Preschool Ministry Team
1. What do I need to bring for my preschooler?
Please label your child’s bottle, pacifier and diaper bag (First Orlando diaper bag tags are available at the Preschool visitor desk). We request that you include disposable diapers. If your child is in training pants, please send extra pants and a change of clothes. Be sure these are labeled.
Since we offer a complete curriculum with all necessary toys and materials, your child should NOT bring any toys to the classroom.
2. What is your illness policy?
Children with above-normal temperature, colds, a persistent cough, rash or any contagious disease should not be brought to the preschool areas as infection of others may occur. Parents must be sure that their children are free from signs of illness before bringing them. If a child becomes ill while in the preschool area, the parent/guardian will be requested to come to the Preschool area to pick up their child. Teachers do not administer medications.
3. How do I drop off/ pick up my child(ren)?
All First time guests are invited to visit our First Time Guest or Kids Ministry desks for class assignments. Each child will receive a nametag to be placed on his/her back and parents will receive two security tags. The security tag with names and pictures of the adults approved to pick up will be given to the teacher. Parents will keep the third security tag to be presented at pick up. Once you have decided to make First Orlando your church home, you may request permanent enrollment for your child.
4. Do you have a nursing room?
A special room with a video feed from the service is provided for all mothers who nurse their babies. This room is located in E1-104.
