Instruction for Hope

Read: Romans 15:4 “For whatever was written in former days was written for our instruction, that through endurance and through the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope.”
Reflect: The stories of old, the lessons of faith, and the prophetic words spoken in Scripture were all written for our instruction. They were given so that we might endure, be encouraged, and be filled with hope. As we read the Bible, we are not merely looking at the past; we are gazing into the hope for our present and our future.
Pray: Almighty God, open our eyes to the lessons You have for us in Your Word. May these ancient texts stir in us a living hope that endures through every season. In Jesus’ name, we pray, Amen.
