Read: Luke 2:10-12 “And the angel said to them, ‘Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. And this will be a sign for you: you will find a baby wrapped in swaddling cloths and lying in a manger.’”
Reflect: The announcement of Jesus’ birth was declared as good news of ‘great joy’ for all. This joy was not just for a moment, but a deep, abiding joy for all of humanity, across all times and cultures. As we prepare our hearts this Advent, we too can share in this great joy, knowing that our Savior has come for each of us.
Pray: Lord, fill our hearts with the great joy that comes from knowing You. May we spread this joy to all around us, reflecting the light of Your love this season. Amen.
Step: Share this passage with someone today, and tell them about the great joy we have in Jesus.
